Glug is a rad meet up of all creative types across the spectrum, who are invited to drink beer and see what everyone is up to. We teamed up with French artist Séverin Millet, who designed a two colour regal baboon poster for us to print live on the night. Along side us there were some great live art going down, with an all female cast with the likes of Karolin Schnoor, Georgina Luck, Suzi Kemp, Eleni Kalorkoti and Amy Harris. They followed a theme of 'Gunpowder, Treason and Plot' and produced some awesome work! Check them out! In addition, there were also talks from Margot Bowman, Chrissie Macdonald and Modern Love and a great pop-up shop by Unlimited Editions! Overall a great night was had by all. We met a lot of rad people, drank a lot of tasty stout that was like caramel and churned out some great prints for everyone to take home. Hosted monthly by up and coming local band Call Me Jolene, 'Club Berlin' promised to be a good night with live music, comedy and trademark mustaches!. Along with the great entertainment, guests and band members turned their hand to screen printing their very own gig posters then and there in the venue. It was a great evening and we are looking forward to the next Club Berlin night. We'll keep you posted of when and where... Earlier this year two regulars to the studio, PINS and BELOW STORE, asked us to print a homage to the great lady, both with different themes. PINS 'Queeny' seven colour print featured his trademark doughnut, where as BELOW STORE's 'God Saved the Queen' went for the punk approach with a play on Jamie Reid's iconic Sex Pistols 1977 print. Her vivid and vibrant work, which is sometimes retro or even slightly surreal has gained her work with the likes of The Guardian and Penguin. We were asked to print a limited run of her 'Big Pomme' design on both totes and paper, which can both be purchased from the HelloMarine shop.
